Maximize the effect of going abroad
Intercultural Workshop with Saxion
What does it take to be open-minded towards new and different, even unexpected learning experiences?
When you go abroad you learn many new and different things. The environment changes, people teach and study differently, communicate differently and sometimes they might even act just weird.
This is the topic of our next Komma workshop in collaboration with the international office of Saxion.
Under the guiding question “How can we maximize the effect of going abroad for students and employees at Saxion?” we want to come up with the top three learning goals of unconscious learning when going to a new environment- abroad or the town next door.
Gaby Taekema-Somers, officer of international affairs at Saxion, asked us, to design a tool that helps everyone become aware of their unconscious learning experiences. These tools shall aim at supporting you in your attitudinal preparation for new and at first maybe strange seeming learning experiences.
If you became excited about passing your knowledge and sharing your own learning experiences in an impactful way, join our workshop! If you are interested and enthusiastic, you might even be eligible for a thesis or internship in collaboration with Saxion! Do not miss out on such an opportunity.
PS: Alumni are more than welcome to share their experiences at the workshop- the more diverse our ideas are, the more creative and innovative we can get!
Please register for the workshop, so we can provide enough snacks and coffee for you!
See you soon!
